<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Senior Corporate Development SpecialistPosition ObjectiveAct as a key member of the Corporate Business Development team in assessing in-organic business expansion and growth opportunities for LIFE Technologies. Key success factors are the ability to work collaboratively and proactively within LIFE Technologies, especially with key business leaders, providing strategic and technical fit assessment and financial assessment of potential targets.Essential Functions·Manage the triage of inbound (unsolicited) merger and acquisition opportunities. Responsibility for maintaining an overview of a large number (hundreds per year, 40-70 at any given time) of all active pipeline corporate business development opportunities.·Interact with internal teams (business units, finance, legal and M&A teams) to prepare inputs to financial and strategic assessment of potential target opportunities, develop summary assessment of each opportunity, whether pursued or declined.·Interact with external parties (bankers, investors, management of external businesses) professionally in providing timely information exchange.·Manage due diligence process and financial modeling inputs with business teams, M&A transactional and M&A finance teams.·Monitor key market segments for opportunities for partnership and acquisition.·Develop and refine tracking tools for opportunity assessment and triage.·May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.Education:·Requires a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, preferably life sciences or engineering.·MBA or equivalent work experience highly desirable.Experience/Requirements:·3-5 years experience in a life sciences, biotechnology, technology and/or pharmaceutical company.* Demonstrates asense of urgency, contagious optimismand a“can do” attitude* Isstrategic, astuteandforward-thinking* Iscurious, inquisitive, innovative, never satisfied with the status quo* Hascourageandconfidenceto take risks and learn from mistakes* Stretches across borders, breaks silos and builds effective partnerships with customers and colleaguesWorking Conditions:Works in an office environment.Some travel required, to LIFE sites, conferences and locations of potential .This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.We are proud to be an Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer committed to hiring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
