Parsons makes the world a safer placeNEEDS:Serves as the TSS Range-MOUT Acquisition Analyst for the NTC-Fort Irwin Range Sustainment Task Order. The Acquisition Analyst is directly subordinate to the Range-MOUT Sustainment and Operations Manager and completes a broad range of assignments requiring accounting training and experience. Assigned to the Range-Mount Operations staff and at this level works independently in completing assigned tasks. The project requires significant review and maintenance of a large budget in ODC, other direct costs for material and travel. The supervisor will rely heavily on the Acquisition Analyst who formulates and manages journals or subsidiary ledgers of an accounting system, balances and reconciles accounts. Duties include reviewing procurement requirements, invoices and statements verifying information, ensuring sufficient funds are available and have been obligated, resolves discrepencies.Analysis and reconciliation of computer printouts with section leads and subcontractors. Develops and recommends improvements to accounting methods and procedures for area of responsibility. Closes the general ledger for each period, prepares financial statements, and completes a detailed analysis of account balances. Generates and analyzes periodic financial reports, making recommendations regarding status of reserves and assets. Actively participates in the company Quality Improvement Process (QIP). Provides suggestions for handling unusual or non-recurring transactions. Conformance with requirements and technical soundness of completed work are reviewed by the supervisor, or are controlled by mechanisms built into the accounting processes.EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:3-5 years of related work experience.Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting and budget principals.Licenses: A valid California Class "C" drivers license and must pass the Defensive Driver
