This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work as an Electric Maintenance Technician with high visibility and opportunity. This position offers challenging projects and the ability to work with the best in the industry.Accountabilities:Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.Programs and Troubleshoots programmable Logic control systems and control wiring to determine problemsProvides technical support in the area of electrical/controls.Works to improve equipment effectiveness through meantime failure analysis, root cause analysis and general troubleshooting, operation maintenance and set up of production equipment.Implements preventive maintenance work for equipment and or facility in accordance with the manufacturers and or engineering guidelines. Evaluates or modifies PMs with detail steps and parts to reduce downtime of all production and facilities equipment.Supports the direction of the maintenance of physical assets of the plant to insure continued operation and attainment of line effectiveness, yields and costs.Assess maintenance and equipment performance and develop a predictive and proactive plan.Identify and anticipate major repairs, replacements and capital projects to insure improved and continuous operations.Maintains and improves electrical infrastructure main distribution, sub panels, transformers and remote wiring for production machines.Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.Minimum of 3 years proven Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Hardware/Software, Variable speed drivers, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.Experience with photo eyes, sensors and limit switchesHigh degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to react in an efficient timely manner. Technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field, desired.Willing to work any shift (nights and weekends), holidays and overtime as required.Previous food manufacturing experience, preferred.
