In our pursuit of becoming the most respected and successful company in the U.S., we are looking for highly motivated applicants for our available positions.TMS Accounting Services is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Payroll Manager .The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the payment of 10,000 multi-state associates in accordance with wage and hour laws, union agreements and Company policies.Reporting to the Automotive Accounting National Manager, the person in this role will lead the department&#39;s objective of improving the associate experience in obtaining accurate and timely payment. Key Responsibilities* Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner; ensure all payroll deductions and taxes are accurately accounted for.* Monitor vendor performance as it relates to compliance, contractual agreements, and service quality to Toyota and its employees.* Initiate and lead key kaizen projects and initiatives by identifying opportunities that will improve workflow, enhance service levels, minimize risk and reduce operating expenses and increase efficiencies.* Manage relationships with field sites and vendors to ensure front-end processes function with appropriate levels of control, security and redundancies. * PeopleSoft HR/Finance systems, ADP/ProBusiness Payroll system, Infor Workbrain and SumTotal Cybershift on-line timekeeping systems experience and related system implementation experience. * Provide ad-hoc reporting to external agencies and other divisions or affiliates for decision support purposes.* Create an environment where continuous process improvements become part of the culture* Lead, develop, coach and motivate a team of 6 associates* Evaluate performance of team members and ensure adequate training and developmentRequired* Bachelor&#39;s degree in a related area (Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, etc.) or equivalent work experience required* Thorough knowledge of state and federal wage and hour laws, general payroll tax requirements and understanding of how payroll transactions impact the general ledger* 10 or more years of payroll experience for a large, multi-state employer in a shared services environment including at least 3 recent years of management* Partner with HR and vendors to ensure proper payroll and benefit accounting, compliance, and management of end-to-end payroll processes.* Experience with qualified and non-qualified benefit plans, 401(k) plans, and pension plan administration. * Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills required* Ability to lead special project teams required* Active APA membership and CPP designation* CPA and/or MBA would be a plusToyota is an equal opportunity employer.
