<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Part Time Maintenance Mechanic- Carpenter (20 hours per week)Hillsborough,CARequired: Skilled Maintenance Worker to perform various repair and support functions in a school environment. Position requires basic mechanical and building maintenance skills which may develop into advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate to the position. Ability to effectively communicate policies and or written procedures in a manner easily understood by fellow employees. Specific physical abilities required include manual dexterity, agility, ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and lifting or carrying supplies/ equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Wearing appropriate protective clothing required by work environment or government regulations is required. Job ActivitiesPerform light to medium maintenance service or repairs in one or more skilled areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing. May assist skilled trade workers in one or more areas of performing service or standard duties. Performs tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, ballasts, emptying trash bins, moving or assembling furniture, light carpentry, and replacing toilet paper or hand towels, etc. Works with supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks, but must be able to self direct and follow a work schedule. May also occasionally direct the labor of other general maintenance workers to accomplish tasks such as painting, pressure washing areas or buildings, etc. Performing periodic safety or damage inspections of buildings and grounds. Experience Required3-7 years general facilities maintenance experience. Experience in safe use hand or power tools appropriate for tasks. Experience with CMMS work order system is a plus. Familiarity with door and lock maintenance is a plus. Familiarity with Safe Working Practices and OSHA guidelines is required.
