Job Title HR Benefits Specialist Locations Huntington Beach, California Status Active Skills
This is would be an ideal opportunity for you if you have at least two years of experience in an HR department, understand the fundamentals of HR Benefits and know how to use ADP HR Benefits system.
Job Responsibilities
* Create New Hire packets and send new hire information to new employees on multiple programs
* Walk new hire through on-boarding process including all ATS required documents and benefits
* Day-to-day administration of the benefit plans and programs additions, changes, corrections, and terminations. This includes health, dental, vision on Conus Oconus Plan, life insurance, ADD, STD/LTD, 401k, and COBRA. This also includes data entry for ADP HRB and vendor systems.
* Research and respond to HR and benefit questions to resolve employee issues and escalate issues when necessary.
* Send out appropriate benefit paperwork for conversion plans on all terminations
* Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current Including E-Verify on required programs
* Send out Company documents on all Terminated employees
* Respond to all unemployment claims
* Day-to-day administration of Workers Compensation claims to include filing claims, coordinating care with clinic, follow up notifications through claim closure.
* Participate and complete organizational reports, benefit reports, quarterly benefit audit.
* Assist with annual benefit open enrollment process by understanding plan changes, responding to questions, processing changes through the ADP HRB Online enrollment system.
* Complete employment verifications.
* Assist in organizing company events including but not limited to benefit education, birthday celebration, and other wellness initiatives.
* Maintain employee files Personnel and Confidential in compliance with state and federal guidelines, as well as for departmental and company needs.
* Assist HR Director with other projects as assigned
Job Requirements
* Two to Four years of related experience in human resource administration to include benefits, Section 125 benefits, ERISA, 401k savings plans, Federal and state compliance and leave of absence laws.
* Previous experience with auditing benefit bills
* Recent ADP Experience including ADP HRB, Pay Expert and ADP Reporting
* Intermediate/Advanced MS Office software skills required, including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
* Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
* Ability to analyze and interpret data and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries
* Government Contracting experience is a plus
