Positions offered are both challenging and rewarding and have excellent growth opportunities.Join our team inCity of Industry, CAin the role ofEnvironmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. In this position you will be responsible for supporting the facility with an effective EHS program.* Incorporating safety and environmental plans for the site, which will include emergency response, exposure monitoring, developing and maintaining EHS policies, plant inspections, and audits for environment, health, safety and housekeeping.* Develops and maintains safety training programs, such as accident prevention program which includes safety awareness and hazard elimination.* Environmental and Company compliance, stays current with appropriate regulations in helping to design/ develop, implement and manage policies and procedures that assure all environmental needs are meet or exceed regulatory requirements.* Appropriate environmental and biological monitoring.* Regulatory compliance, OSHA, EPA, etc...* Ensure all government, state and local permits are maintained according to requirements.* Systematic elimination of potential hazards.* Accurate record keeping, recording of safety incidents and investigation of safety incidents using root cause analysis.* Facility waste and recycling activity.* Reviews and maintains all MSDS sheets.* Coordinates activities for Safety Committee including meetings, accident review and analysis, follow-up and safety auditing programs.* Works and confers with Corporate EHS.In addition to the requirements listed our most successful employees also posses the following core competencies:* Attention to Detail,* Concern for Safety,* Critical Judgment,* Interactive Communication,* Problem Solving,* Planning and Organizing,* Project ManagementSkills and Requirements* B.S. degree or equivalent experience in field of study such as chemistry, environmental health and safety, or engineering.* Knowledge of federal and state regulations.* 4-6 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing operation.* Good analytical and problem solving skills.* Solid communication, presentation and training skills.Teknor Apex has a long-standing history of caring for its employees.We are committed to the philosophy of providing employees with a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.* Medical w/prescription drug coverage* Dental and Vision* Life Insurance* 401k w/company match and Pension Plan* Paid Holidays and Vacation* Flexible Spending Account (FSA)* Tuition Reimbursement
