SpHb Clinical Applications Specialist or possibly Blood Management Clinical Applications Specialist
The SpHb Clinical Applications Specialist is responsible for supporting Masimos suite of non-invasive hemoglobin SpHb solutions to hospitals and health systems within an assigned area. This position requires many capabilities as listed below including expert-level knowledge in evolving best practices regarding blood management and the ability to collaborate effectively with Masimo sales and clinical support colleagues to achieve sales objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with SpHb Area Sales Manager on quarterly territory business plans including the efficient identification and qualification of new Masimo customers as well as increasing SpHb penetration in existing customers
* Establish clinical and administrative support through technical presentations, review of scientific literature, executive meetings, and product demonstrations and evaluations
* Must become the expert on our key Proof Source Studies and be able to understand and talk to the details and nuances from a clinical perspective.
* Collaborate with our SpHb customers to establish utilization guidelines and protocols
* Lead the strategy for new and reference accounts per the expectations established during the sales process leading to successful installation and deployment
* Troubleshoot factors affecting SpHb performance
* Develop key customer relationships and KOLs
* Depending on territory, 50-60% travel may be required
Experience, Skills, and Education Requirements
* Registered Nurse RN, Respiratory Therapist RRT or equivalent clinical background
* Experience in sales or clinical support in the medical device industry is a plus
* Bachelors degree preferred
* Minimum of three years clinical experience in the hospital
* Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
* Effective presentation skills with ability to articulate key concepts to multiple types of decision makers
* Ability to have clinical and influential conversations with customers
* Operational understanding of the Hospital environment to include all care areas as well as an understanding of the hospital purchasing system
* Highly organized with both a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated customer advocate and team player
* Demonstrated commitment to excel
