Invest in you!Job Summary:Reporting to Credit Analyst Manager, the Credit Analyst is responsible for providing key credit support functions to the Business Credit Center including financial spreading, proformas and projections, covenant compliance, and collateral monitoring. Prepare credit recommendation packages in RACER, and assist Credit Executive team in establishing PD/LGD Risk Ratings for the Wholesale Loan portfolio.Major Responsibilities:70% - Financial Spreadsheeting and Analysis - Use financial statements and tax returns of current Business Banking customers and prospects to create financial spreadsheets in the Risk Analyst program to be used for credit underwriting analysis. Must maintain consistency and accuracy in preparing financial spreadsheets, proformas, and projections, in accordance with Bank Policies and Procedures. Analyze financial ratios and company operating performance to monitor covenant compliance.Monitor collateral compliance covenants and borrowing base requirements by performing A/R & A/P aging analysis, including excluding ineligible accounts, as defined by Bank policy.Maintain expected turnaround time in providing customer service to the Business Credit Center.30% - Risk Rating and Data Entry - Prepare credit recommendation packages in RACER to be submitted for final credit approval. Recommendation to be reviewed by credit executive for accuracy and appropriateness.Assist Credit Executives in establishing PD/LGD Risk Ratings for all Wholesale customers in accordance with Basel II requirements.Additional Information:Strong knowledge of financial accounting. Requires good verbal and written communication skills.Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office/Word/Excel in the Windows environment. Knowledge of Lotus Notes preferred.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or other related field preferred.
