Reporting to the Business Unit Financial Controller, this position will serve as business and strategic advisor to the Ethernet Switch General Manager and leadership team to ensure the financial and operational objectives for the business are met. The position provides leadership in terms of strategic/forward thinking financial support, controls, decision support, and operational know-how to achieve the business performance targets. This role provides valued business counsel to the GM and team, but also challenges in areas and creates healthy tension, incorporates teaching, learning, influencing, and ultimately advising in a way that helps the business define/redefine problems and arrive at new solutions.This role requires solid business acumen and talent for both strategic vision and cutting edge tactical financial support. Specifically, the successful candidate will define business performance standards and metrics, and create/drive internal financial processes and systems to be simple, insightful, and predictive. He/she will ensure appropriate due-diligence is applied to business decisions, integrity of reported information, synthesizing information into a strategic asset, and forecasting with a high level of predictability. He/she will partner with Finance members across the company, effectively balancing goals between the division and other departments.
