Masimo NASDAQ MASI is a global medical technology company that develops and manufactures innovative noninvasive patient monitoring technologies, including medical devices and a wide array of sensors. A key medical technology innovator, Masimo is responsible for the invention of award-winning noninvasive technologies that are revolutionizing patient monitoring, including Masimo SET pulse oximetry, Masimo rainbow SET Pulse CO-Oximetry and new Masimo noninvasive and continuous total hemoglobin SpHb monitoring technology. These new rainbow technologies are expected to open new markets and significantly expand the companys growth opportunities
Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop components and assemblies for high volume disposable as well as reusable products for noninvasive patient monitors from concept to product.
* Able to interface with technical peers and Senior level managers as well as non-engineering departments to maintain mutual understanding of product design needs, regulatory, and production requirements.
* Generate of documentation i.e., Component drawings, Assembly drawings, Specifications, Test Protocols  Reports, Etc. for all design activities.
Training and Experience
* 10 years Design Experience
* 5 years minimum in medical devices or related field, preferably in physiological monitoring
* Experience working with plastic, metal, and woven or laminate materials
* Experience with Bio-medical materials e.g., plastics, adhesives for implantation or patient contact
* Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
* Comfortable in and around machine shop equipment
* Experience working in both large structured and small entrepreneurial organizations.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interface effectively with engineering and manufacturing personnel
* Knowledge of FDA 510k approval process, QSR and GMP requirements, and ISO 9000 compliance
* SolidWorks 2009 or later   PDM database experience
* Experience in setup and control of documentation systems
* Experience with product Verification and Validation
