As a result, our business growth is impressive and consistent.  Best of all, our team members share in the success that results from that growth.ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS) SPECIALIST SR.SUMMARYResponsible for technical support of facility environmental maintenance and training, site safety, ergonomics, and required reporting to all State and Federal agencies. Responsible for development and monitoring of environmental and/or energy management programs. Oversees all environmental reporting requirements including hazardous waste management and reporting. Ensure permits are current and required documentation is maintained according to regulations and available to management, employees and auditors.RESPONSIBILITIES&middot;    Establish and maintain written programs/procedures/policies for compliance programs (hazard communications, spill preventions, etc.).&middot;    Prepare and submit regulatory reports to local, state, federal and corporate entities as required.&middot;    Ensure that the facility is in compliance with applicable environmental and safety requirements (customer, legal, corporate, other).&middot;    Provide written instruction to guide environmental and safety performance as needed throughout the facility.&middot;    Represent the site during regular and unannounced audits and agency visits.QUALIFICATIONS&middot;    Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (BA) in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering/Science or related field preferred and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through six or more years of related experience. Advanced, professional EHS certification is desirable.&middot;    Minimum 5 years&rsquo; experience in the EHS discipline.&middot;    Two plus years&rsquo; experience in Regulatory Affairs related to Hazardous Waste management.&middot;    Technical knowledge in the areas of science and chemistry related to EHS requirements within a manufacturing environment.&middot;    Proven ability to manage EHS programs within the framework of California specific laws and regulations.&middot;    CAD experience a plus.HOW TO APPLYPlease upload resume in Word (.doc) format with your online application at parker.com/careers referencing job code # 14437.
