<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for the financial reporting, planning, forecasting, analysis, and control processes for the site''s R&D, Regulatory, Business Development, SG&A, and Headcount expenses. This role is also responsible for implementing and maintaining processes for financial and operational reporting, including financial presentations as needed. The manager also partners with R&D, Business Development, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders to provide timely, reliable and quality information to inform management decisions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Ensures proper monthly accounting (accruals) for BE studies, all other R&D expenses, and SG&A.* Lead development of the site R&D and SG&A Budget and monthly forecasts.* Leads the development and implementation of site processes that improve effectiveness, accuracy, timeliness, and productivity of the site''s R&D and SG&A activities.* Partner with Development organization to accurately forecast the current financial scenarios associated with changes to the R&D plan. Incorporate changes into accruals, monthly close process and rolling strategic plan.* Will provide financial oversight and administer financial aspects of co-development program activities with external partners and internal development team members (Irvine and HQ).* Delivers performance management (accountability and reporting) against financial performance targets and key performance indicators for the Research and Development function. Significantly contribute to the monthly financial reporting process communicating current and projected financial status and proposing remediation activities if necessary.
