The HCC Coding Specialist will have the following responsibilities:Responsibilities:* Review assessment documentation and accurately translate medical information into the appropriate code. Ensure needed documentation is present to validate the code. Escalate issues to the lead or management, as appropriate.* Provide real-time training and support regarding the documentation and coding needed to successfully execute the department goals.* Enter information into a comprehensive tracking and management tool for assigned network. Track all HCC coding activities ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Correlate activities, processes and HCC results/ metrics to evaluate outcomes.* Support HCC RADV and Programs efforts in scheduling/training activities. Maintain records of training.* Travel to provider sites.Qualifications:* Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) required.* High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.* 3+ years of coding experience required.* Experience with the claims submission process, preferred.* Proficient in MS Office* Maintain valid driver&rsquo;s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.Altegra Health is committed to building a highly diverse, best-in-class workforce at all levels of the organization.
