Completion of vocational courses in areas such as
welding, mechanics, control systems, electrical,
refrigeration, HVAC, or Freeze drying is
desirable. Refrigeration license is highly
desirable.
Experience in repair, installation, maintenance
and modifications to equipment lyophilizers, air
handling systems, sophisticated refrigeration
equipment, pharmaceutical production equipment,
etc. Knowledge of facility utility systems such as
boilers, RO systems, chillers, freeze dryers, WFI
distribution systems, cooling towers, HVAC systems
is advantageous.
Good oral and written English communication skills
is required.
Ability to use maintenance tools, precision
instruments and testing equipment safely and
accurately.
Basic understanding of single and three phase
power troubleshooting and maintenance techniques.
Two 2 years technical schooling and/or three to
five 3-5 years experience as a technician or a
mechanic involved with refrigeration equipment,
preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing
environment preferred.
Ability to operate a fork lift and heavy
equipment.
Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred
