<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Req ID 57195BRBusiness Title Mechanical TechnicianBusiness Medical ProductsSub-Business ManufacturingCountry USState/Province CaliforniaLocation of Position Irvine, CAShift_ 3rdJob Description 1.Troubleshoots, repairs and interfaces with; programmable logic controller (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron) electrical schematics, Inkjet printers, photo eyes/sensors, limit switches, proximity switches, temperature controllers, variable speed drives, motor, servos, high speed packaging equipment, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, motor and machine controls and basic electronics. 2.Performs mechanical repair and diagnosis for automation equipment.3.Has knowledge of high speed manufacturing/packaging equipment to include pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment, conveyors and Videojet printers.4.Performs daily preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operational.5.Works in a safe manner at all times and is trained in Arc Flash, Lock Out Tagout, Basic Electrical safety, Ladder Safety, and other plant programs.6.Has basic electrical knowledge and experience with AC/DC motors and drives, electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, servos, controls, relays, switches, sensors, solenoid valves, and vision systems.7.Responsible to maintain spare parts inventory of his assigned area.Job Requirements 1.HS Diploma or GED equivalent required, 2 year certificate from a college or technical school a plus. 2.Three years related experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience in Industrial Manufacturing / Production Maintenance.3.Experience with programmable logic controls (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron).4.Variable speed drives, servos, high speed packaging equipment, and pneumatic systems. 5.Candidate must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and part diagrams.6.Experience with photo eyes/sensors, limit switches, proximity switches, temperature controllers and Inkjet printers preferred.7.Maintenance knowledge of high speed manufacturing/packaging equipment to include pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment, conveyors and Videojet printers a plus.8.Electrical knowledge and experience with AC/DC motors and drives, electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, servo motors.   Doing Work that Matters Baxter provides its employees with comprehensive compensation and benefits.
