This position is ideal for the highly motivated, detail oriented, performance driven individual that wants to focus completely on hospitality sales! SUMMARYThe Senior Resorts Sales Manager is primarily responsible for handling incoming leads for resort hotels. The incumbent will work with customers to align customer preferences with brand needs and actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenues and drive customer loyalty. This position will also ensure that business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery. The incumbent is responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. The position requires excellent selling skills, knowledge and experience with resort sales, large complex group transactions, a detailed understanding of resort operations, destination selling, food and beverage as well as ancillary sales outlets (e.g. Golf & Spa). Qualifications:CANDIDATE PROFILE<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />Education and ExperienceRequired:* High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.OR* 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.Preferred:* 4 year college degree.* Experience selling large complex group business experience, either at a property, or in a sales office.* Experience selling resort hotels.* Knowledge of property operations, F&B.* Knowledge of the group sales process for all brands and how to close a sale.* Team-based selling experience.* Hospitality Management Degree.CORE WORK ACTIVITIESThe Senior Resorts Sales Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring transactional excellence of large group sales business processes and achieving revenue and booking goals for large group sales within the market for resort hotels. Overall, the position is accountable for the following:Sales and Marketing* Respond in a timely manner to incoming large group/catering opportunities at resort hotels that are within the parameters of the Sales Office. Refer opportunities to appropriate sales associate if business is outside the Sales Office parameters.* Work collaboratively with other sales channels (e.g., Area Sales, on-property resources) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.* Develop relationship and communicate effectively with Destination Sales Executive at resort in order to contribute to a successful site inspection process.* Work collaboratively with golf and spa teams on property to effectively book outlet business at appropriate parameters for group opportunities.* Effectively leverage knowledge of resort amenities to close opportunities (e.g. destination attractions, golf, spa, recreation options, etc)* Understand the importance of t
