As a key member of the EMC Residency Practice, your role as a trusted advisor to our customer will drive value and accelerate the visibility of our cloud services and offerings.Job Description Provides leadership, mentorship and value to the field practices in the area of the services sales strategy and offerings, sales and delivery capability and overall performance and execution of the business plan. Senior service sales professional who has demonstrated an ability to lead based on experience, knowledge, passion and competence. Works closely with sales and delivery teams to coordinate and conduct the delivery of high-level solutions. Contributes to the development of practice standards, policies and procedures. Drives utilization, increased revenue and the delivery of billable engagements for EMC products and services.* Provides technical and/or business consultative leadership for a specific practice at the pre-and/or post sales level. Proactively provides input into the development of Practices policies, procedures, standards and strategies.* Monitors practice job performance and provides coaching, counseling, and motivation to maximize practice performance. Recruits and hires employees, based on global profiles, who can help grow and drive EMC''''s business strategy* Integrates industry knowledge into practical sales-related tactics, techniques and procedures to ensure teams deliver well-rounded and well-developed sales campaigns. Ensures appropriate levels of specialization in the practice are being achieved by utilizing classroom, OTJ, Web based training, and brown bag meetings.* Maintains a level of practice readiness, in order to be successfully prepared to support the delivery of customer engagements (skilled and trained workforce, strong partner relations, tested and proven technical solutions and development methodologies).* Ensures adequate level of resources in place to meet profitable demand. Oversees chargeability of all delivery resources within defined geography. . May need to travel up to 70% of time (depending on geography). Assists with the creation of proposals that address current and evolving client requirements. Provides leadership in the development of long term practice curriculum. Ensures appropriate levels of specialization in the practice are being achieved by utilizing various training and development opportunities.* Leverages EMC talent in the sale and delivery of quality solutions and implementation. Escalates any resources deployment issues. EMC Proven Professional Certification desired.Competencies * Proven technical services sales experience and success; ability to create a sale from the bottom up* Strongunderstanding of IT infrastructure Technology – EMC preferred* Exceptional customer interaction – prior PreSales or Delivery of IT Storage products* Strong customer relationship (including executive level) and presentation experience* Ability to manage a large portfolio of customers and work closely with large account teamsExceptional teamwork across organizations*
