JOB SUMMARY:

Transport Scheduler is accountable for executing
the process of ordering and scheduling all light
product deliveries in a prescribed area to retail
and commercial customers, via proprietary or
contract carriers, with an emphasis on customer
service and cost management and truck
productivity/utilization. They schedule deliveries
for terminals and coordinate with distribution
terminals, retail, and commercial marketing and
contract carriers to optimize delivery service.
The operation is a central scheduling environment
and shift work is required. The operation is 24X7
with most employees working a schedule of 4-10
hour shifts per week night shift.
Key accountabilities
Coordinates with Product SupplyFuels Value
Chain, Distribution Terminals, Marketing
customers and contract carriers to optimize
delivery service Considers all stakeholders when
resolving issues and initiates appropriate actions
to resolve issues related to delivery efficiency
Schedule and prioritize deliveries to service
stations, contract customers and/or commercial
accounts, for multiple terminal delivery area
utilizing Aspen Retail Ensure that deliveries
are in compliance with all safety and regulatory
requirements Determine/coordinate/communicate
resource requirements equipment and manpower
with appropriate Terminals Contact approved
carriers to schedule deliveries Prioritize
deliveries, optimize company assets, and assign
least cost delivery option Monitor
implementation of schedule and moves deliveries as
required to avoid delivery disruptions Promote
customer satisfaction and service, handle
disruptions Initiate appropriate actions to
resolve truck/driver problems related to delivery
Support and communicate with marketing groups to
meet their delivery needs, strategies, and resolve
any problems which develop Focus on delivery
reliability and fleet optimization Provide
upward feedback on scheduling process and work
with peers to continuously improve process
Handle phone calls for problem solving/resolution
Print appropriate reports from scheduling system
and scan and upload as required to provide for
reporting Maintain and prepare logs and reports
as needed to track scheduling performance Other
items related to scheduling operations
Essential Education
High School required
Essential experience and job requirements
Position requires a self-starter to work
independently, without the benefit of direct
supervision Must be a team player and have
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Customer service is essential, with the ability to
handle multiple tasks at the same time Working
conditions are in a demanding and fast paced
environment Understanding and/or previous
experience in Scheduling of light oil product
deliveries.
