GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONS
Responsible for developing job sites at the various businesses within the community for placement of EXCEED consumers.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops presentation materials, Develops
appropriate integrated work sites for individual and group placements and evaluation sites for External Situational Assessments.
Conducts initial time studies at group sites, prepares bids for contracts, Acts as a liaison between the organization and employer/evaluation sites, prepares initial assessments and makes recommendations for admission to the program,
participates in job and client matching process,
prepares clients for employment which includes registering with Department of Rehabilitation, assisting in interview and addressing pre- employment issues. Assists with job training when needed, prepares Employment Development Report, promotes EXCEED in the community and to other agencies, attends and participates in assigned meetings, may represent the agency at functions and other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
21 years or older, valid California Drivers License, acceptable driving record, state required minimum automobile insurance and reliable transportation. Must have a thorough understanding of the work environment and general business practices, organization skills and ability to work independently, ability to interface with the public flexibility in hours,
High school diploma and five 5 years of various work experience
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time, dexterity and coordination for handling, fingering, feeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, climbing, balancing, stooping, directing, crouching and crawling while training consumers. All of these activities could be, involved at any job site. Good vision and hearing in order to effectively relate with employers, potential employers and consumers, ability to interpret non-verbal cues and observe job requirements and identify potential safety hazards, and good hearing and vision in order to make contacts on a daily basis.
MENTAL ABILITIES
Ability to develop and maintain rapport with employers and potential employer sites, math skills to prepare a competitive bid plus have an understanding of various business protocols and the ability to convey these practices to our consumers, capacity to interpret instructions and communicate to consumers, good judgment to advocate, recognize safety hazards and apply appropriate behavior modification techniques.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to Program Director
POSITION CLASSIFICATION
Exempt
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, 800 a.m. to 500 p.m. or flexible schedule as needed.
