Located in Lake Forest California, this group is part of the Chemical Analysis Group (CAG), specifically the fast growing Chemistries and Supplies Division. The SPP business is an industry leader in both market share and performance and has a track record of solid and unique product. The business is now focused on improving operational excellence and taking manufacturing into the next generation of quality, efficiency, and productivity and new products through advancements in automation that you will help design, develop, deploy, and support. This is a high-visibility product line where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to one of Agilent''s key Consumables businesses. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has proven technical leadership abilities and soft skills to support the existing product line and design and deploy new production processes and equipment for new products.Responsibilities will include:-Designing, implementing, and supporting new semi-automated and automated production equipment and processes.-Designing equipment and processes and creating maintenance and calibration support plans for new and existing equipment.-Working with chemists, manufacturing engineers, maintenance, and technicians to evolve production lines through the application of technical and lean manufacturing design principles.-Supporting business goals by establishing technical project objectives aligned to meet the short- and long- term goals of new and existing product line needs.-Supporting and improve existing equipment.Qualifications: BS or MS in Mechanical, Electromechanical, and/or Robotics Engineering-Minimum of 5 years design experience with proven track record of new product development and/or new equipment design and deployment-Demonstrated ability in: customer satisfaction; quality control; process management; electromechanical technical problem solving-Demonstrated leadership skills in: Organization and planning; Judgment; Relationship Management, Conflict Prevention-Excellent communication skills up and down organizational levels.-Ability to translate product performance, operator ergonomics and safety design requirements into design elements for existing equipment improvements and new equipment.-Ability to present data and project status using typical software and presentation tools.-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers, partners, and in cross functional projects.-Familiarity with test, measurement, and control software and hardware systems.-Knowledge in machine parts fabrication methods and basic material science.Preferred:Experience in chemical manufacturing environmentsKnowledgeable and Experienced in Lean/Six SigmaSkilled in computerized maintenance management systems.Proficient with Microsoft Office, Project, and CAD tools.Agilent is an equal opportunity employerBusiness: Chemical Analysis GroupJob Category: ManufacturingJob Sub-Category: Manufacturing EngineeringRegion: AmericasCountry or Area: United StatesState/Province: CaliforniaTown/City: Lake ForestShift: Day JobJob Type: ExperiencedSchedule: Full-timeTravel Required: OccasionalDuration(Temp Positions Only): Not applicable
