The Engineering Manager will report directly to the VP of Engineering & Business Development (VPEBD). Secondary reporting will be required to the senior most engineer (or supervisor) should the direct supervisor and VPEBD be unavailable. The Engineering Supervisor or Manager will oversee daily supervision and dissemination of policies and procedures for the Engineering/Art Department.Responsibility:* Project Engineer, Mechanical is responsible to: plan, coordinate, innovate, perform mechanical layout and structural product design, assembly design, mechanical component specifications, testing and/or analysis work for a complete project of broad scope or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse HMI projects.* Produce and/or evaluate possible mechanical design, basic circuit layout/form/fit and function, and technology solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications which may include possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.* Additionally, Project Engineers are responsible for the technical layout of all mechanical, electrical and tooling aspects for the human machine interface (HMI) assemblies, enclosures, membrane switch, circuitry/sensors and electroluminescent (EL) products for new and existing customers'' projects.* Compile and furnish necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design or technology solutions required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.* Generating and maintaining accurate Bills of Material in an ERP/MRP, ISO9001 and ISO13485 environment.* Create various Engineering forms: ECO, Engineering Department Schedule, Vendor RFQs, Letters, Sample part/material requests, Assembly/Work Procedures, Special instructions, etc.* The Project Engineer, Mechanical may be assigned responsibilities for the following: technical interface and communication between Engineering, Production, Sales and OEM Customer(s).* Develop and/or execute mechanical test or analysis plans for product or technology verification and validation* Support QC and Production with technical drawings, documentation and BOM support, as needed.* Lead in the resolution of technical engineering issues internally, with outside vendors and/or OEM customers, as required.* Providing CAD files for the laser cutting station.* Other engineering functions, as assigned by the Engr.
