We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Maintenance Supervisor within our Long Beach business unit based in Long Beach, California. Oxy Long Beach has both onshore and offshore operations within the Wilmington Field, one of the 10 largest oilfields in the US. The offshore operation, THUMS, is comprised of four man-made islands in the Long Beach Harbor. Tidelands Oil Production Company, is comprised of the onshore portion of the Wilmington field as well as two smaller assets. Project responsibilities : * Oversee construction of facilities projects as the on-site representative to direct work/responds to unanticipated problems or changes* Main contact for facilities maintance accountabilities in weekly location coordination meeting, Maintenance Supervisor will contact T&V engineer, project manager for all location projects and maintenance planners to provide update to all team members* Understand project budget, construction contract terms, schedule, and scope for all projects on their location* Notify project manager of all RFIs, potential change orders, contractor performance issues and important data on each location project* Establish understanding with contractor that change orders should be discouraged and all changes will be highly scrutinized* Keep list of all location needed asphalt repairs, demolition items and potential future project ideas for inclusion in future budget decisions* Coordinate project work with field operations to minimize disruption and costs* Ensure the MOC process is followed where applicable.* Assist in project post job review and recommend improvements in future project and in Best PracticesMaintenance and general location tasks:* Coordinate maintenance contractors
