<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Patient Safety AuditorDepartment: Quality AssuranceSchedule: Full-TimeShift: DaysHours: 6am-2:30pmJob Details: * The Patient Safety Auditor functions with minimal supervision under the direction of the Director of Performance Improvement in the coordination of observational and documentation audits of multiple nursing/clinical processes related to Patient Safety and including accreditation and regulatory compliance for Joint Commission (TJC, Title 22, and CMS.). Job Specific Competencies:* Ability to obtain and interpret information via direct observation or chart review and implement information relating to Patient Safety Goals and other regulatory standards.* Ability to assess clinical process steps and accurate completion of same.* Write, speak and communicate effectively with management and staff on issues of patient safety and procedural accuracy.* Knowledge of regulatory standards and associated elements of performance. Minimum Requirements/Education/Licensure:* 3 years of clinical experience in an acute hospital is required. * Registered Nurse in a general medical surgical specialty is preferred. * Knowledge relating to regulatory requirements is required. * Must becompetent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point programs. * Must be ableto learn reporting software. * Licensed in a healthcare related field is preferred.* AMaster''s or Bachelor''s degree in a healthcare related field is preferred. * Must obtainCertified Professional in Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) certification within 1 year of hire.Req Number: 311909
