POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Communications Specialist will be
part of a team of writers, graphic designers, and
marketing professionals. This person will
contribute to the strategies, tactics, and
activities involved in getting the desired
marketing messages to intended target markets
prospects, customers, partners, employees, and
the public, regardless of the media used. This
person will assist in a variety of marketing
activities including, but not limited to
Marketing planning, Media relations, Research,
Public relations, Social Media, SEO, Website
enhancement and Development, support of events and
campaigns with relevant communications, creation
of videos/webcasts/podcasts, possible management
of blogs and or other social media tools, creating
and maintaining sales enablement information and
tools, and more. It   s a position that is
different every day and the individual needs to be
flexible and able to manage several projects at
the same time.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
   Marketing asset creation and maintenance
collateral, videos, case studies, press releases,
webcasts, more
   Sales enablement for Sirius Client Executives
sales portal, presentations, proposals
   Internet/web site enhancement and development
including SEO
   Social Media, including Facebook, Twitter,
LinkedIn, blogs, YouTube and others
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
   Ideally, candidate will five years in
communications, with two or more in the IT
industry.
   Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications,
Computer Science or related major, or equivalent
work experience.   Equivalent work experience is
defined as 2 years of related work experience for
every 1 year of missing post-secondary education,
in addition to the required experience below.
   Experience in Marketing Communications
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
   Excellent writing and grammar skills, excellent
verbal skills, ability to present to large
audiences
   Strong attention to detail
   Ability to prioritize and work on multiple
projects
   The ability to work well individually or with a
team
   Ability to work well in a fast paced
environment and meet deadlines
   Experience with Microsoft Office applications,
including expertise in MS Word, Excel and Power
Point
   Experience with Adobe applications In Design,
Illustrator, PhotoShop, DreamWeaver, Joomla, or
other html editor, Acrobat Pro
   Experience with SEO, Social Media, and Website
Enhancement
OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
   Knowledge of IT market servers, storage,
networking, virtualization, backup/recovery,
mobility, etc.
   Knowledge of major players in the IT market
such as IBM, HP, NetApp, Dell, Cisco, Red Hat,
Citrix, Microsoft, etc.
