In counsel with administration and department heads, recommends development of facilities including construction. Periodically inspects buildings and utility systems to determine ned of alternation and repairs. Is responsible for implementing operations changes as required by new legislation and codes that affect the Medical Center facilities.  Manages and maintains all required documents of program and services provided. Actively participates in committees including environment of care, infection control and project operations. Responsible for the management of all the Joint Commission Standards that apply to Emergency Preparedness and Fire, Life Safety. Requires a BA/BS degree required, Masters preferred with 5 years of experience as a Director of Facilities or similar position in a 200+ bed acute care hospital.  Current education, licensure or certification as required by regulatory agencies such as CHSP or CHFM. Member of ASHE for at least 5 years. California State Inspector of Record helpful. Strong working knowledge of OSHPD, JCAHO, DHS, NFPA, ADA and L.A. City building codes, required. Strong leadership skills required.
