Works in collaboration with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of the patient.RequirementsMinimum Education:- Master''s degree required.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:- Five years clinical nursing experience.- Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.- Proficiency with insulin pump management.- Proficiency with diabetes and pregnancy management.- Working knowledge of Spanish. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.Required License/Certification:- Valid California Registered Nursing license.- Valid California Nurse Practitioner license.- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) required.- BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.- ACLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.- NP Board Certification within one year of hire.- A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 90 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.The University of Southern California values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity in employment.
