Responsibilities include description, photographing, grossing of specimens and assistance with frozen sections, cytology procedures, bone marrows, renal biopsies and autopsies. The Pathologists'' Assistant will assist with administrative functions including preparation and administrative maintenance of protocols, procedures, reports, data and instruments and will perform administrative, budgetary, teaching and other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Pathologists'' Assistant training program, or on-the-job trained Pathologists'' Assistant with minimum 5 years experience. Minimum of Bachelor''s degree in Biological Science or Allied Health Science. ASCP certification as Pathologists'' Assistant, or certification eligible. Certification Maintenance also required. Ability to perform dissection and dictation on a wide variety of surgical specimens ranging from small biopsies to complex resections. Ability to perform frozen sections.
