JOB SUMMARY:

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is an independent Federal agency that has daily impact on the way America's companies and unions conduct business.

At the NLRB, you will become part of the team actively protecting democracy in the workplace. Individuals, unions, employers, and our country are hurt by unlawful labor practices. When unfair labor practices are filed, we respond with thorough investigation, careful examination of the law, impartial judgment, litigation and resolution. 

This position is being filled as an Internship in the excepted service under the Pathways Program.  The Pathways Program is designed to provide developmental work opportunities that expose an Intern to the work of the NLRB through a Federal internship.  After successfully completing your education and meeting NLRB work requirements, you may be converted to a term, career, or career-conditional appointment.  You can make a difference at the NLRB.

LOCATIONS:  This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel, Division of Operations Management - Field, Region 31, Los Angeles, California. 

AREA OF CONSIDERATION:  This announcement is restricted to individuals currently enrolled in a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis AND currently residing OR currently attending school in the following state: California 

Pathway Program Requirement:

  • Must be enrolled at least part-time and have completed at least one year of study in a graduate program such as Public Administration or Public Policy, which includes course work in labor or industrial relations, collective bargaining, contract negotiation, and/or dispute settlement, or other course work germane to labor relations.
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

THIS IS A NON-BARGAINING UNIT POSITION.
