The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill up to 3 temporary positions at Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time. Appointments under this announcement are eligible for rehire and/or extension (when initial appointment is less than 1039 hours) if workload and funding allow.  Individuals selected under this vacancy announcement are eligible for rehire in subsequent service years.  Anticipated Entry on Duty: March, 2014

The park is 75,000 acres located over three counties and offers diverse recreational opportunities for the visiting public.  The park also manages Muir Woods National Monument, Fort Point NHS, and Alcatraz Island; these sites experience heavy visitation year-round.  The park is surrounded by urban and suburban communities.  It is a complex working environment with changing priorities.  San Francisco and Marin Counties are a high cost of living area.  Shared government housing may be available.
