JOB SUMMARY:

<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Environmental Health Safety Technician is responsible for managing training and medical monitoring information.
-Review job functions and assign appropriate training classes, and medical monitoring level.
-Track medical billing, ensure all charges are appropriate and assigned to proper organization and project.
-Manage EHS functions on the Learning Management System LMS, maintain current courses, and load new courses.
-Track training completion, and refresher training needs.
-Assist in deploying training and medical monitoring programs to insure a smooth process.
-Work cross-functionally with all organizations to maintain effective programs.
-Maintain written and electronic files for training, medical monitoring and EHS general business communications and publications in a clear and well organized manner.
-Maintain EHS related information from regional sites, such as emergency response plans, contact information, safety audit results and follow up.
Respond to emergent EHS issues as needed. Support emergency response program logistics. Potential travel to facilities outside California to conduct training, auditing and other support functions.
Experience and Education Requirements
Academic degree, BA or higher preferred. Proven ability to communicate in written and verbal methods with a wide variety of individuals from the research community, regulators, and peers. Strong customer service, database management, and process management skills. Detail oriented. A physical examination will be required.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a government issued security clearance and must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance. A drug screen will be required as part of the hiring process.
