Job Description
Accountable for the effortless and seamless movement of guests in and out of the hotel and providing exceptional levels of guest service throughout the guests stay. Act as Manager on Duty and respond to emergency codes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensure all guests are being treated in an efficient and courteous manner and that all Starwood standards are being applied. Supervise the activities and the service levels of the front desk and w xyz bar. Responsible for the hiring, training, and direction of new department employees. Ensure the timely completion of performance appraisals. Ensure all Front Office and w xyz bar quality standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied. Develop and implement basic operating standards for beverage service in compliance with federal, state, local and standard practices. Maintain established inventory by ordering all liquor and supplies in accordance with business needs. Schedule staff and allocate product and equipment according to size of function and/or house count. Work in conjunction with accounting to maintain and minimize levels of account receivables. Assist in the daily maintenance of room inventory status to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest expectations. Responsible for the Starwood Preferred Guest membership program and ensure that all guests who are members are appropriately recognized, meeting all Starwood standards. Field customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation in order to choose the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
Requirements
Education High school or equivalent education required. Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience Two to four years experience in Food and Beverage At least one year supervisory experience in Front Office, required. Flexible schedule in order to fill in Manager on Duty shifts Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. EOE/AA/M/F/D/V
