<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>SanDisk is currently looking for a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer. In this position, the individual will design new test equipment and engineering tools for SanDisk internal use. They will be responsible for creating and editing detailed drawings utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD software. The individual will maintain computer generated CAD files utilizing SolidWorks EPDM tool for data management. In addition to, the individual will submit Engineering Change Requests and implement document changes. Design 3D models create Bills of Material, Drawings and product documentation. Develop Mechanical and Thermal design solutions interacting with Hardware design team. Utilize Thermal modeling tools such as CF Design and SolidWorks. Lastly, the individual will interact with internal customers and provide timelines for deliverables, and may interact with suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 5 or more years of related experience. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent communication written and verbal and interpersonal skills.
