(CSS) has an immediate opening for a part time (20-30 hrs per wk) Industrial Hygienist to provide industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and environmental services at our client site, located at Ames Research Center, Moffett Field California. Candidates should have experience and knowledge in assessing workplace hazards, developing and implementing ES&H programs, and preparing comprehensive reports to document findings. The Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including conducting field inspections, routine abatement inspections, and air monitoring (including PCM analysis on site), exposure assessments, incident and complaint investigations, compliance assessments and reporting, and reviewing work plans and project designs.The position requires a team-oriented professional with strong organization skills as well as excellent writing and oral communication skills. Successful applicant may be required to work weekend or evening shifts.Qualifications:Qualifications:__Required Qualifications:1. BS degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline2. 5 or more years of related experience.3. Current Registration in California as a Certified Asbestos Consultant4. Currently certified by the California Department of Health Services to perform all categories of lead work.5. US Citizenship.6. Detail oriented.7. Experience working with and knowledge of ES&H standards and regulations.8. Effective written and oral communication skills.9. Computer skills including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.10. Ability to pass a medical clearance to wear a respirator and enter regulated work areas to inspect and monitor asbestos and lead.Desired Qualifications:1. Demonstrated ability to work as a solid contributor in a team environment.2.
