The Assessment Editor designs, specifies, creates, and refines science content to ensure that it conforms to specifications and quality standards.Specifically the Assessment Editor will:* Develop item specifications and participate in all phases of item development, item selection, and/or test construction according to the established publishing process.* Assist the Senior Assessment Editor in the creation of test specifications.* Interact with other departments in providing product support to customers (internal and external) and attends customer meetings as needed.* May serve as Content Development Lead for a program with limited scope.Qualifications:REQUIRED:* Bachelor''s degree in related field* Excellent proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet applications* Advanced proficiency both oral and written communication (including presentation and facilitation skills)* Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills* Demonstrated expertise in one or more specific areas: e.g. Math, English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Science* 2 years of experience in educational assessment or a related field or 2 years of classroom teaching or a combination of related experience and education* Ability to lead and influence others* Ability to solve complex conceptual problems and implement solutions proactively* Experience working in a team environment (Including cross-functional teams)PREFERRED:* Master''s degree in related field.About the CompanyCTBis a leading global provider of educational assessment and reference solutions guiding Educators toward targeted instruction that is making a positive impact on student achievement.McGraw-Hill Education, a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies, is a leading innovator in the development of teaching and learning solutions for the 21st century.
