Course Description
Students survey the fields of computer science and information
technology in this project-based course. Essential computer
skills are applied to web development, assessing information,
database design and object-oriented programming.
Fundamental concepts of hardware, software, the internet, and
implications for society are also covered.
Example of Duties
Under the general supervision of the Division or Department
Chair, the adjunct instructor will provide instruction in
accordance with course descriptions, outlines, class schedules,
and Governing Board policy evaluate progress of students
concerning educational matters, and perform other instructional
related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in computer science or computer
engineering OR
Bachelors degree in either of the above AND masters
degree in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration,
accounting or engineering OR
Bachelors degree in engineering AND masters degree
in cybernetics, engineering mathematics, or business
administration OR
Bachelors degree in mathematics AND masters
degree in cybernetics, engineering mathematics, or business
administration OR
Bachelors degree in any of the above AND a masters
degree in information science, computer information systems, or
information systems OR
CA Community College Teaching Credential is this
discipline OR
The equivalent.
AND
Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse
academic, socioeconomic, gender, cultural, disability, and ethnic
backgrounds of community college students.

Salary Rate $46.22-$56.44 based on education and
occupational experience.
