SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic B will be responsible for assuring the maintenance and repair of Industrial Equipment. This is a 2nd shift position
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of the equipment process and operational controls.
Knowledge of equipment documentation, set-up procedures, and auxiliary equipment.
Knowledge of equipment spare parts location.
Ability to conduct daily and periodic checks of equipment, looking for signs of failure, leaks, safety hazards, and cleanliness.
Ability to determine cause of equipment stoppages.
Ability to record all machines failures and maintains equipment log.
Ability to repair minor faults or failures with the equipment.
Experience in working with voltages from 24 Volts to 460 Volts three phase.
Ability to adjust process or stop process to affect repairs or maintain steady production.
Initiative to correct minor problems, or consult help when needed.
Initiative to report any unusual damage, noises, smells, or functions of the equipment.
Ability to determine root cause of equipment failure, i.e. hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, or process controlled.
Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic failures through the use of blueprints.
Ability to repair/replace hydraulic components, i.e. valves, hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps, bearings, and motors.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical failures with the use of schematics and test equipment.
Ability to repair/replace electrical components, i.e. fuses, motor starters, motors, relays, circuit boards, and contactors.
Knowledge of spare parts replacement and ordering procedures.
Initiative to contact machine manufacturer for assistance in troubleshooting problems.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Two-year trade or specialty school training
4 years experience with processes in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
Requires Injection Molding maintenance experience.
Requires excellent fine hand manipulation abilities and/or substantial experience and knowledge of repair tools.
Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, or equivalent job experience.
Computer Skills are a plus.
Must have own tools.
