The Respiratory Therapist is a professional
caregiver who assumes responsibility and
accountability for a group of patients ranging in
age from birth to geriatric. Responsibility is for
a designated time frame and the Respiratory
Therapist will provide safe, therapeutic care for
these patients by the use of self, the patient
care process, the environment and other health
care team members.
REQUIREMENTS
Respiratory Care Practitioner experience in an
acute care facility
New graduate OK
RCP licensure
Current State of California RCP Certificate
Current CPR-BLS certification
