<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Design, develop, modify, and/or test Google Geographical Information Systems. Duties include - develop tools using Python, Geospatial Data Abstraction Library GDAL, OGR, open source Geographical Information Systems GIS tools, software and processes to prepare vector and/or raster data, create the framework and tools to shepherd data from acquisition through final deployment, ensure all data has the proper metadata information via proper reporting from data scripts to database tools, develop software to convert data from one format to another, build validation to ensure all data adheres to strict accuracy and quality specifications, produce reports related to vector raster data, evaluate, analyze, and compare new data sources, perform satellite/aerial image data processing and develop tools to automate their processes, and build tools to process and automate high quality terrain data.
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Geographical Information Systems, Geography, Geology, Physics, or a related field with five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience involving each of the following -  Linux, Python with Open source GIS tools, for example, OGR, Geospatial Data Abstraction Library GDAL, Quantam GIS QGIS, Geographic Resonance Analysis Support Systems GRASS and PostGIS, Remote Sensing, evaluation of complex data, utilization of satellite or imagery, writing Python or Bash scripting tools to automate tasks, and Photogrammetry.
