From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we''re in pursuit of gathering the world''s information.The role: Publisher Intelligence SpecialistThe Online Partnerships Group (OPG) grows Google''s business with online publishers by helping them utilize tools from products such as AdSense and DoubleClick. Our team is made up of high-achieving specialists who work with partners in online advertising and e-commerce. We thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented and international environments. On this team you proactively identify, develop, support and maximize revenue opportunities from existing and new partners. In OPG, we strive to exceed partner expectations through building, supporting and maintaining long-term win-win relationships.The Publisher Intelligence team is responsible for delivering data-driven insights to support OPG''s global sales and support efforts. The team works on various initiatives ranging from publisher segmentation to predictive modelling of publisher behavior to global market opportunity analysis. In addition to these larger projects, the team is also responsible for taking on smaller ad hoc analytical projects for global stakeholders. As a Publisher Intelligence Specialist, you will be responsible for scoping, initiating, and delivering on analytical projects that drive the OPG business. This requires not only deep analytical and modeling skills but also the ability to develop strategic recommendations based on analysis and communicate and operationalize them (often in conjunction with various other cross-functional stakeholders). This role is not about simply grinding out numbers; it is about building new business processes based on data and models to drive revenue, increasing efficiency, and improving customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:* Scope, initiate, manage, and execute publisher intelligence projects in conjunction with various cross-functional stakeholders.* Drive the analysis and establish the plan to apply and operationalize publisher insights.* Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from global sales and support teams.* Provide mentorship to other analysts in OPG.Minimum qualifications:* BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.Preferred qualifications:* 3 years industry experience; strategic understanding of publisher and advertising industry business models.* Deep analytical skills and background (Excel, databases, SQL).* Strong organizational and project management skills; excellent verbal/written communication skills including presentations.* Strong grasp of statistics and statistical models.* Understanding of basic sales and marketing concepts including customer segmentation, database marketing, and experimental design.
