We are seeking a full time Release of Information
ROI Specialist in the Health Information
Management Department at El Camino Hospital.
Responsibilities include
* Answer and direct calls received in the HIM
Department
* Process internal and external requests for
release of medical records
* Request and return medical records to off-site
storage facilities
* Prepare requested documents for release
according to HIM policies and procedures and state
and federal regulations

Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. AA
degree in Health Information Technology and/or
Management or RHIT credential preferred. HIM
experience and/or ROI experience required.
Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA and release of
protected health information requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills. Intermediate
computer skills.
