As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You''re equally at home explaining your team''s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.As a Technical Program Manager for Physical Security, you will coordinate and execute delivery of large infrastructural projects and system upgrades. Most physical security systems at Google are vast in scale and global reach, hence rollout efforts require a high level of coordination and meticulous project tracking, all of which needs to be led by this role. You will also build a domain knowledge in the physical security space as you work closely with new and existing applications and work to better integrate them.Responsibilities:* Execute rollout of large scale systems involving servers, clients, specialized endpoints, including coordination of application/OS mass upgrades and network upgrades/reconfigurations.* Manage Application System Administrators in the team and oversee the frontline support to physical security team members, including the security command center.* Coordinate new system deployments by working with internal development, third party system integrators and manufacturers.* Manage all project timelines and communicate progress to business users and IT management.* Manage documentation and tracking of all physical security assets through internal tools.Minimum qualifications:* BS/BA (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant experience).* 2 years experience in IT program management experience.Preferred qualifications:* Experience managing large-scale, aggressive, and dynamic technical projects, with competing resources and priorities.* Participation in several full system implementation life-cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).* Creative self-starter who possess excellent business acumen and project management skills, and who has a strong sense of focus, organization, meticulous attention to detail and proven ability to guide others to deliver outstanding results in a timely manner.* Strong communication skills and a data driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges.* Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.* Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
