BOTTLING LINE MECHANIC

JOB SUMMARY:

<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>A Bottling Line Maintenance Mechanic must be knowledgeable in all phases of bottling line equipment operations, safety, and repair. Also, must be committed to assist in reaching all production requirements as set by Senior Management.  Also, must be able to work any shift as directed by Management.  Able to work weekends, Holidays and overtime to cover all production needs as directed by Management.  Must be able to work and communicate with all Supervisors, Machine Attendants, Machine Operators, Cellar Operators, Forklift Operators, General Line Workers and Managers, to ensure the highest possible production and efficiencies for the bottling lines.  Must be able to adjust and respond to down equipment as directed by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Understand and comply with all ISO 9001 and HACCP processes.
Able to operate all bottling line machinery.
Able to operate standard power tools safely.
Knowledge of equipment and tools needed to perform repairs and maintenance on bottling line machinery and facility.
Knowledge of basic electricity, 110v, 220v, and 480v.
Communicate to Supervisors, Line Workers, Cellar, Quality Assurance QA, SENIOR Management, and Co-workers.
Organize change over parts storage area and spare parts.
Trouble-shoot and repair running equipment safely.
Read and understand equipment manuals and drawings.
Report all parts used and needed for reordering to Storeroom Attendant.
Work effectively and remain calm in all situations.
Must be able to work independently of direct supervision.
Maintain C.P.R., First Aid and forklift certifications.
Perform necessary change over of the bottling line machinery and equipment in a timely matter.
Troubleshoot running bottling line and make necessary repairs to keep it running as required.
Replace or repair machinery and equipment needed to keep the bottling line running efficiently.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility to keep them in top working condition.
Must supply own hand tools and be able to carry a tool pouch weighing approximately 20 lbs.
Must be able to wear company supplied uniforms.
Must be able to work in awkward positions kneeling, lying down or squatting.
Must maintain the maintenance turnover logbook.
Responsible for start up after a change over.
Responsible for having correct change parts ready for following shift.
Must maintain and perform duties of daily walk through checklist.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
