This support will encompass and integrate all phases of the NASA project lifecycle (Pre-phase A to Phase F) and include, but not be limited to, solicitation and proposal development, project management, knowledge management, strategic planning and analysis, systems engineering, enhanced virtual communications and collaboration support, innovative partnerships, educational outreach, and mission operations services. Missions that may be supported under this effort include the ISS, Kepler, SOFIA, and LADEE, as well as advanced research in aeronautics, astrobiology, exobiology, space bioscience, and lunar science. Tasks under the leadership and direction of this position include, but are not limited to:-     Interface with Center and contract leadership in establishing and reporting project/task order status and metrics, such as schedule, cost, and resource allocation-     Maintain changes to project/task order baselines, monitor deliverables, conduct reviews, and manage the incorporation of quality management systems-     Partner with Government counterparts to identify and integrate new technologies, processes, and procedures that promote accelerated project timeliness-     Support Center proposal development, including opportunity capture and subject matter expertise inputCoordinate resources across projects/task orders to ensure maximum utilization and performanceQualifications:Candidate should possess BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline (Business, Finance, Engineering Management, etc.) from an accredited college or university, plus fifteen (15) years of progressive and relevant experience. PMP certification a plus. Candidate should have significant experience with NASA acquisition, lifecycle management, and project management processes (e.g., NPR 7120.5D). Familiarity with Ames Management System a plus.Physical Requirements:Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.Work Environment:Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.Equipment and Machines:Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.Attendance:Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations
