BASIC PURPOSE Primary purpose of the position
Stock Building Supply is looking for an experienced door and window sales professional to assist customers in the showroom and over the phone. Establish sales relationships with targeted, key builder accounts. Work in conjunction with OSRs to grow builder account sales. Assist walk-in customers as required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Primary accountability for specific functions and results
1. Facilitate acceptable level of service and communication with customers on the showroom floor and via phone.
2. Responsible for appearance of the showroom, the physical integrity and pride of the showroom.
3. Close sales by selling integrity and SBS value The best people, products and service.
4. Ability to develop new business leads.
5. Possesses construction industry and door and window product knowledge.
6. Basic ability to read and understand blueprints.
7. Takes pride in personal professional image and the showroom.
8. Attentive to detail.
9. Excellent communication skills with walk-in customers and via phone.
10. Willingness to continue to develop product knowledge and selling skills.
11. Willingness to pitch in wherever needed including assisting with will-call.
BASIC SPECIFICATIONS Requirements to perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified
1. Minimum education required  High school graduate, some college degree preferred.
2. Door and window product knowledge, strong communication and interpersonal skills customers, vendors, associates, ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical skills. Computer, printer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine.
3. Ability to read and understand blueprints, balancing the product aesthetics with the necessary function and building code requirements related to the product.
4. Detail-oriented. Must be able to follow complex paperwork procedures, understand the technical side of the product and avoid costly ordering errors.
5. Team player. The words thats not my job do not exist at Stock Building Supply.
6. OtherComputer literate with Microsoft Office products and Trend system. Lifting 20-50 lb. objects as needed.
7. Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays.
Experience Required
1. Must be familiar with door  window productswith the ability to review construction plans/blueprints and advise our customer on the best product selection to meet their specific needs
2. Preferred experience in customer-facing sales
