Responsible for performing a multitude of tasks simultaneously and successfully in support of the operations maintenance group including but not limited to the daily building maintenance and repairs such as electrical, lighting, plumbing and mechanical tasks. This position will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in fulfilling maintenance requests and ensuring that the facility is a safe working environment for all employees.
Duties. Repair and maintenance of all facilities equipment and structures. Purchasing maintenance supplies from vendors. Facility improvements and upgrading. Department relocations and improvements. Maintain records of work performed. Inspection of facilities premises for hazards. Inspection, repairs and maintenance of facilities safety and security devices. Interaction with internal and external customers can be expected. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional business relationships. All other duties and projects as assigned
Required. A broad facilities and construction related knowledge base. Ability to contribute strong technical expertise for assigned projects. High degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills. Pro-active and self-motivated with ability to manage time effectively to meet all established deadlines and goals with minimal supervision. High school diploma or equivalent
As manufacturing facilities support, overtime and on-call support may be needed.
Preferred Qualifications.
Contractors license
Carpenters certification
First Aid certification
CPR certification
Work Environment
Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors. The work will be in a number of locations/buildings. Internal and external environments may be uncomfortably hot or cold.
Position requires the incumbent to move from office work area to other areas of the company, including other offices, cubicles, warehouse and production areas, conference rooms and other offices in the same building or other buildings.
Work will be conducted in a standard office and manufacturing environment with associated distractions such as noise from telephones, keyboards, talking, paging systems, machinery and equipment. Temperatures are regulated by facilities management and are not within the direct control of the individual.
Exposure to standard chemicals used in an office environment is expected and includes but is not limited to toner, glue and liquid paper, etc. Additionally, the incumbent may be exposed to chemicals used in maintenance, cleaning and lubrication and/or in the manufacturing process of nail lacquers, lotions, etc.
