The qualified candidate will develop mechanical assembly and testing devices for a new product line that will combine 2 different glucose sensing technologies under one shell to ultimately produce a more reliable and accurate device.Position Responsibilities Perform calculations and analyses to verify designs and document results in engineering reports and laboratory notebooks. Develop specifications, for equipment and work with vendors and suppliers to ensure that specifications are met. Design and work with robotic equipment, fluid delivery systems, fiber-optics, and adhesives. Prepare tooling drawings of designs Prepare and execute machine and process validations. (IQ, OQ, PQ). Assist in developing the device design and its manufacturing process simultaneously. Plan and lead execution of design verification activities. Prepare and present comprehensive design reviews Design parts to be manufactured via plastic injection molding, stamping, machining and extrusionBasic Qualifications Experience in process and / or design validation. Proficiency in Solidworks Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects Project management experience Experience in robotics and / or electromechanical design. Experience in conducting statistical analysis Experience with writing and executing validation documents (IQ, OQ, PQ) and designs of experiments (D.O.E).EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelors in EngineeringYEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4+SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Experience with fiber optics and or related optical engineering.Desired/Preferred QualificationsPhysical Job Requirements
