A competent, reliable maintenance person is essential to every McDonald''s restaurant. The maintenance person is responsible for general (janitorial) maintenance. General maintenance includes the cleaning and upkeeping of the entire restaurant and its surroundings, except for the following: Jobs requiring outside professional services, such as electrical, plumbing, major construction work, or major landscaping. Inside the restaurant, general maintenance includes cleaning the floors, walls, windows, dining area, restrooms, dishes, furniture, fixtures, lighting, counters, stockroom, basement and signage. General maintenance is a big job and an important one.
