<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Labor Relations SpecialistLocation: Oakland, CAThis position will be responsible for developing state of the art systems and technology to track and monitor National Labor Relations activities and records, and produce meaningful reports to facilitate and guide the advancement of consistent labor relations across the Program. This position will also be responsible for providing skilled support to a variety of leadership groups through performing high-level analytical work related to area of Labor Relations - data analysis, trend analysis, database management, information retrieval and analysis from various computerized sources.Essential Functions:Conducts research and analysis of areas pertinent to labor relations strategy, planning and tactics; synthesizes pertinent findings and prepares presentations and other work products for executive leadership.Develops long-term strategy and proposal for improved information sources and networking for internal labor relations leaders such as establishing a web site to include access to relevant database information and research tools such as bargaining reports and community of best practices; as well as access to reports, newsletters, and news headlines pertaining to bargainable issues.Maintains knowledge of external national labor relations activities, analyzes and reports on major settlements, trends, and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) decisions.Assists with preparing budget impact analysis on labor relations projects such as compensation plans, benefit plans, and other HR related projects or plans.Composes a variety of reports and written materials related to the operation of LR as requested by the Executive Director, Labor Relations staff and executive leadership.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:-A minimum of 3 years ofexperience in organizational research- Expert knowledge of research methods, instrument design and survey construction, and a variety of data-gathering techniques such as conducting focus groups, observation, case studies, etc.- Must have experience in mulitvariant analytic techniques (such as predictive modeling, regression, MANOVA) and large-scale data analysis- Previous work experience at Kaiser Permanente very helpful- Advanced degree (M.A. or Ph.D) in business, social sciences, or statistics
