Responsibilities include coordination, supervision, and provision of health education for patients and families. Coordination of primary care educational experiences for medical residents. Coordination of community resources for patients and familes. Administrative support for clinical, and quality improvement activites. Coordination of eductional and special events ie Asthma Camp, and Educational Conferences.Position Requirements:Education:Bachelor''s Degree in Health Related field required. Graduate degree in Public Health or Health Education or related prefered.Experience:At least 3 years of health education or other direct service with children and/or adolescents.Knowledge, Skills & Abilites:Superb communication with both a lay and a professional audience. Superb organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to solve problems calmly and effectively in a hectic environment. Able to promote a construtctive and positive atmosphere within the work area through cooperating and assisting clinic staff. Able to work with others in a courteous and professional manner. Able to remain flexible with work schedules. Able to use appropriate organizational skills in setting priorities. Able to respond to educational RFA''s and RFP''s. Willing to learn new skills. Basic computer skills including proficiency in email, internet, MS Word, and database management using MS Excel, Must type 40wpm or greater. Able to use appropriate organizational skills in setting priorities. Able to identify problem areas and take appropriate course of action.
